The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Oyo State, has not joined the nationwide industrial action declared by the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) that is currently ongoing.

It was reported that since 2017, ASUP Polytechnic Ibadan Chapter has no leadership, that accounted for non-compliance with the national body’s directive.

The campus was full of the usual hustle and bustle, with students receiving lectures in various classes.

One of the lecturers, Mr. Biodun Akere, said the school calendar was still running, adding that students had been receiving lectures unhindered since the commencement of the second semester of the 2019/2020 session.
